GB3LEX
GB3LEX is a 3cm Microwave Beacon.
| Tx Freq | 10368.955Mhz | |
| Power | 1w (erp) | |
| Antenna | Slotted Wave guide | |
| Locator | IO92IQ | |
| Keeper | Geoff G3TQF | |
| Status | Off Air | |
The transmitter comprises a 108.010MHz ovened xtal oscillator F2 modulated. The frequency is locked using the reverse DDS technique to a GPS referenced 10MHz source.
The output of the 108.010MHz source is fed to a mast mounted box containing a frequency multiplier and amplifier producing a filtered output at 10368.955MHz of 1.0Watts.
The antenna is a waveguide slotted on both sides thus producing an approximately omni radiation pattern with a peak erp of 10dBW.
